Here are a selection of our most commonly asked questions regarding weddings in Lindos. Should you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are more than happy to answer any queries you may have.

A. You will need to bring a variety of documents with you. Please note, this is just a guide and more details will be sent to you once you have booked.

  • Birth Certificate - both the bride and groom must obtain a “Full” birth certificate. Please note that the “shorter” birth certificate will not be accepted.
  • Certificate of Non Impediment to Marriage - this document certifies that both parties are free to get married. It may take up to 1 month to obtain, and your certificate must not be issued more than 3 months before the wedding day.
  • Certified Copy of the Decree Absolute - if either of the parties are divorced, this must be obtained.
  • Death Certificate - if either of the parties is a widower, a Death Certificate must be obtained.
  • Deed Poll Certificate - if either of the parties has changed his/her name by Deed Poll, they must obtain written proof.
  • Adoption Certificate - if either parties were adopted, this certificate is needed.
  • Passports - photocopies will be needed to identify both parties.

We want to ensure you are clear about everything throughout the whole process, and are here to help you in as many ways as possible, all we need from you is to provide the required documentation and information.

A. All of the above documents will need to be translated into Greek. which we will arrange for you.

A. Yes, as in the UK, two witnesses are needed for all weddings. If the couple wish to travel alone, we can arrange our wedding co-ordinators to act as witnesses.

A. The ceremony itself is conducted first in Greek, and then repeated in English.

A. We recommend that you arrive at least 2 days before the wedding, but there is officially no set amount of days.

A. There is no time limit to arrange your wedding.

A. Generally the busiest time of the year is end of May (Half Term) beginning of June and end of August going into September. The busiest venue by far is St. Paul's Chapel.

A. Upon initial contact with us, we will check availability of your suggested date(s). Once a time and date has been agreed and we have received your deposit then confirmation will be made.

A. Upon booking, we require a 250 Euro deposit (non refundable). The balance is payable upon arrival or before, if you prefer.

A. The wedding co-ordinator is on hand to help you throughout the whole process.

  • Before your arrival, a meeting with the co-ordinator will be arranged, and in this meeting you will be able to discuss all the wedding arrangements, as well as planning the reception.
  • They will assist you with all the small details including flowers, hair, transportation and anything else you can imagine.
  • The wedding co-ordinator will be waiting at your chosen venue to arrange your guests awaiting your arrival and will be there throughout the whole ceremony to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible.
  • Another of their roles is making sure the reception venue is ready and is everything you have planned. The wedding co-ordinator will meet you there and stay for the cake cutting.
  • We endeavour that our wedding co-ordinator will be there to make this the perfect wedding for you and is with you every step of the way. You will be able to contact them regarding absolutely anything you need to know and they’ll be more than happy to help.

A. No. All of our packages clearly state what is included. Any other extras that you may wish to have, prices will be confirmed with you before booking them.

A. Yes. Happily Ever After is part of the Lindian Collection which is a family run business in Lindos and Pefkos.

A. No. We are happy to arrange weddings for all nationalities.
